SHREVEPORT, LA- Services celebrating the life of Kathleen Yvonne Duhe, 89, will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 12 noon at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, LA 71118. Interment will follow in Forest Park St. Vincent Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service on Monday, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Yvonne was born April 22, 1924 in Tree City, LA to Chester Lawrence Babin and Verna Lee Pickett Babin. She went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 21, 2013.
There to greet her in heaven will be her husband of over 50 years, Kramer Richard Duhe and her parents Chester and Verna Babin. Left to cherish her precious memory is her son, Richard Lawrence Duhe and his wife, Julie, her daughter, Cheryl Lee Duhe Dowling and her husband, Don and her daughter, Sharon Marie Duhe Smart Cook. Her grandchildren, Chris and Scott Dowling, Selina Burt, Mitch Smart, Charley Cook, Dennis and Scott Weeks and Stacy Day will miss her greatly. Yvonne was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren.
Yvonne was a life-long resident of Shreveport, LA. But spent the last three years of her life in Richardson, TX to be near her family. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Richardson and attended Summer Grove Baptist Church in Shreveport. Most of her youth was spent in Venezuela and Columbia. She came to the U.S. to graduate from Byrd High School and William and Mary College. She was an avid league bowler and enjoyed her rose garden at home. Yvonne was a kind, lovely Mother and woman who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Don Dowling, Chris Dowling, Scott Dowling, Mitch Smart, Lynn Geneux, and Jerry Webb.
