Bellarle E. "Newt" Blackmon, 82, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013. He was a son of the late Willie and Ada Duncan Blackmon.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Brown Blackmon of Columbia; two sons, Rodriccas Blackmon of Hope Hills, N.C., and Christopher Blackmon of Columbia; a sister, Margaret Belk of Lugoff; and two brothers, James Blackmon of Columbia and Bobby Blackmon of Paterson, N.J.Serivces are 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at Clement Road Church of God in Columbia. The Rev. Jordan Smith will officiate.
Burial will be in the Green Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Columbia.
Viewing is today, Dec. 29, at Crawford Funeral Home in Lancaster and one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
