Louise was born to Dorothy (Pitula) and Stanley Kosmicki, Sr. She lived in Chicago where she met and married James William Race on May 25, 1940. They had 2 children and moved to Norwalk, California. She lived in Norwalk until July of 2005 when she moved to North Platte to be near her son. She died of colon cancer.
