Clyde Neff Jr., 26, city fireman who completed his first year of duty with the department yesterday, died in Georgia Street Receiving Hospital last night of injuries received when he was thrown from a hose truck en route to a fire.
The fireman, who lived at 676 Caliburn Drive, was standing on the truck's back platform and was hurled to the pavement as the rig turned the corner of Main and Ann Sts. The truck was en route to a small rubbish fire at 300 E. Ann St. Member of the Los Angeles Fire Department; Engine No. 4, B. Platoon
