STATESBORO - Aaron E. Haimovitz, 65, died here Sunday morning following a long illness.
He was a member of the Agudath Achim Synagogue of Savannah, Ogeechee Masonic Lodge No. 213 of Statesboro, the Scottish Rite and Alee Temple of Savannah.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rebecca (Bergman) Haimovitz of Statesboro; a daughter, Mrs. Keith (Martha) Lindsay of Atlanta; three sons, Donald Haimovitz of Brunswick, GA, Charles and Jacob Haimovitz both of Statesboro; a brother, Sam Haimovitz of Tampa, FL; a sister, Mrs. "Hinke" Isaac of Tampa, and a grandchild.
Aaron was (first) married to Sybil "Sybie" Loraine Edson in 1931 and divorced in 1937. Their only child was Donald Edson Haimovitz.
Aaron's (second) wife was my husband's Aunt Rebecca (Bergman) Haimovitz.
