Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Clifford Falcon, 81, who died Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Louis Richard officiating the services. Pallbearers will be his six sons. Honorary pallbearer will be his brother, Paul Falcon.

Clifford Falcon quietly passed away on Christmas Day to be with his beloved wife. After 21 years in the Air Force he settled in Abbeville to spend time with family and friends. Cliff enjoyed wood-working, handy-man work, cross-word puzzles, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Always present for his family, he truly enjoyed being with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his six sons, Michael Falcon and Betty of Erath, Samuel Falcon and Judith of Big Woods, Daniel Falcon and Mike Leblanc of Lafayette, James Falcon and Debbie of Morse, William Falcon and Tanya of Abbewille, and John Falcon and Shannon Redmond of Abbeville; two daughters, Denise Frederick and Charles of Abbeville, and Gayla Falcon and Jerry Russo of Abbeville; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; brother, Paul Falcon of Wentzville, MO; and longtime neighbor and dear friend, Mrs. Ouida Perry.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Joyce Richard Falcon; parents, Andrew Falcon and the former Elodie Legere; brother, George Falcon; and four sisters, Mable Romero, Rita Credeur, Helen Arceneaux and Belle Streeper.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Monday, December 30, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.

The family would like to thank his sitters, Christina, Linda, and Lizzie for their loving care and support.

In lieu of flowers, the Falcon family requests that memorial donations be made in memory of Clifford and Joyce Falcon to the American Lung Association in Louisiana, Attention: Ailene, 2325 Severn Ave., Ste. 8, Metairie, LA 70001-6918, telephone (504) 828-5864.
