Parents Harrison Jordan and Eva Jane Gray Cameron. She graduated from Labette County High School in 1916 and 1917 began teaching in rural school near Lakin. She taught school in Marion, 1920-26, and in El Dorado from 1926 until 1955 when she moved to Parsons to teach at the Garfield school until her retirement.
She earned her master's degree from Pittsburg State University and was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Woman, Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and the American Association of University of Women.
Survivors include: three newphews and two nieces. She was precededin in death by a brother Charles Cameron, and three sisters, Alta Joslin, Pearl Detmer and Blanch Reinhart.
