Verla Marie (Coble) Real, 81 of Broken Bow, passed away in her home Dec. 26, 2013.
Verla, the youngest of three children to Henry and Winneford (Winnie) Coble, was born on the first day of July, 1932, in Broken Bow. As a young girl, Verla attended grades 1 - 12 in the Broken Bow school system. Her passion was her horse, Pepper, and she would ride him as often as possible.
On the 8th of November, 1951, Verla married her one true love. Harley B. Real of Ansley. Their union lasted 33 years until Harley's passing in 1984. During their marriage Verla and Harley were blessed with three children: Marcia Kay, Steven Bruce and Catherine Ann.
Verla was preceded in death by her husband, Harley; her son, Steven Real; parents, Henry and Winnie Coble; brother, Charles Coble, and sister, Shirley Neth.
Verla is survived by her daughter, Marcia Millage and her husband, Mark, of Castle Rock, Colo.; daughter, Cathy Real of Broken Bow; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were Monday, Dec. 30, at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow with Pastor Bob Winn officiating. Inurnment was at the Broken Bow Cemetery.
