Lester Ivan Naugle, 74, of 25 N. Church St., died at his home.

Born Oct. 7, 1927, in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Edward H. and Flora May Zimmerman Naugle.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances J. Miller Naugle, in 1972.

He attended Waynesboro Area Schools.

He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the U.S. Army after 18 years of service. He then worked for Waynesboro Knitting Mill until it closed.

He was a member of VFW William Max McLaughlin Post 695 of Waynesboro.

He is survived by four daughters, Mary J. Cook of Greenville, Pa., Martha J. Hurd of Greencastle, Pa., Rebecca K. Gunder of Millerstown, Pa. and Linda Miller of Concord, Pa.; two sons, Stephen W. Miller of Supulph, Okla. and Arthur Naugle of Celina, Ohio; one brother, Richard Naugle of Waynesboro; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, five brothers and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, with full military honors by the VFW Post of Chambersburg. The Rev. Prue Yelinek will officiate.

There will be no public viewing.

Arrangements are by Lochstampfor Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
