Amos Bailey, 62 years old, of Ottumwa route 2, died at 11:55 AM today at the St. Joseph hospital. He was the son of Sylvester and Euphane Bailey, and he was born in Davis County, May 20, 1872. He survived by his wife, May; a son Ellsworth Bailey, of Ottumwa; two daughters Mrs. J. Merriam Peterson, of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, and Miss Bertha Mae Bailey of Ottumwa; a brother Simpson Bailey, of Unionville, and four grandsons. Short funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Sunday at the Johnson funeral Chapel and at two o'clock in The Davis Street Christian church. Burial be made in the Memorial Lawn cemetery.
