Mabel Louellen Moore Minor Mabes 88, entered into rest Monday, June 12, 2000, at St Elizabeth Hospital. The daughter of the late Whitt & Eula Moore and wife of James C Mabes.
Mabel was born in rural Owen County before moving with her family to Gallatin County where she attended school. She married first to William Minor in 1930 and had six children. Her second marriage was to James C. Mabes in 1954.
She is preceded in death by two sons, Gary Minor & Robert Minor; her parents, and one brother, George.
Mabel is survived by son, Lonnie Minor of Colorado; three daughters, Mamie Mardis of Kenton Co. KY, Brenda Rex of Pennsylvania, and Eunice Sposato of New Jersey; and many grandchildren/great grandchildren.
