Lila entered this life on December 10, 1929 in Anderson, Missouri, one of eight children born to the late William Henry and Gertrude (Cheatham) Hobbs. She was raised and attended school in Anderson, Missouri. On October 31, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas she was united in marriage to Warren G. Henry and to this union three children were born. They resided in California and Maryland before she returned home to Anderson in 1979. She worked at Maxi-Mart and the Old Timers Café, retiring at the age of seventy-one. She enjoyed reading and listening to gospel music. She was a very happy individual and a talented cook. Lila was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Henry; a daughter, Cora Marie Hess; four brothers, Doran, JR, Lester and Jack Hobbs; and two sisters, Louise Moss and Violet Spieker.
Lila is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Ann Henry of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a son, David Warren Henry of the state of California; a brother, Chester Hobbs and wife, Roberta, of Anderson, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hobbs are 4:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2013 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Bro. Bob Holloway officiating.
