James T. Miles of Mt. Vernon was born in Franklin County, Indiana September 24, 1843 and died March 29. 1925. September 19, 1866 he married Sarah Davis of Lawrenceville,. Ill. In 1881 they moved to Wayne county. Six years ago they moved to Mt. Vernon. Sarah and James had seven children. Three died. Samuel in infancy, James and George. Four remain: John of Coulterville, W.A. [William] of Wayne City, Mrs. Lota Anderson of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. John Fuhrer [Laura] of St. Louis. He also leaves 2 brothers, John and Joseph of Lawrenceville.
