Olive Louise Acock
March 28, 1931 - December 23, 2013
Olive Louise Acock, 82, of Nampa, passed away on December 23, 2013 at her home. Olive was born on March 28, 1931 to Ralph and Hazel Jarvis Acock in Hawthorne, California. The family moved to Rupert, Idaho where Olive graduated from Rupert High School. She then continued her education at NNU and made her home in Nampa. After graduating from NNU, Olive went on to teach 3rd grade at Mountain View Elementary School in Boise for 32 years.
Olive had a passion for sewing, gardening, reading and most of all singing. She sang in the Senior Choir and was an active member at College Church of the Nazarene. Olive loved her Senior Choir, "Grace NOTES" like family. She was always very involved in Women's Bible Studies, Camp and served Comfort and Care at College Church.
Olive is survived by her sister in law, Marion Robbins of Wilder, nephew Jeff Acock of Wilder, nephew Alan Robbins of Boise, niece Debra Acock of Adrian, Oregon and great niece and nephew Robyn and TJ Acock of Adrian, Oregon.
Olive is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Hazel Acock, and brothers Clayton and Jim Acock.
The family suggests contributions be made to Hands of Hope NW, 1201 S. Powerline Rd., Nampa, ID 83686.
A memorial service for Olive will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 11 am at College Church of the Nazarene in the Franklin Hall. Following the service will be a light lunch.
