Bennie Ruben Orrantia (Ruben) was born in April of 1927 to parents Gregory Orrantia, and Agupina (Audrey) Morales Orrantia.
He married his wife Sally Gonzales Orrantia in 1949 becoming a loving step father to her son Robert (Bobby)Encinas. Shortly after their marriage the young couple purchased a home in Granada Hills California where they lived the remainder of their life and raised 4 children.
The couple also assisted their children with raising numerous grandchildren. The Orrantia's were loving parents and dedicated grandparents.
Ruben retired from the Van Nuys based General Motors after working 25 plus years for the company. He took great pride in his accomplishments at G.M.
He loved good food, good times with family and friends, and tending his garden. He was a strong, thoughtful man with a beautiful crooked smile that could just melt your heart. He was loved by all who knew him.
At the time of Ruben's death he was staying with his son in Mission Hills CA.
