George Bauer, 85, of Griswold Street, Glastonbury, died Thursday (Sept. 26) at Hartford Hospital. Born in West Germany, he had lived in Glastonbury many years.
He retired 14 years ago after working as a cabinetmaker for Rickerson Woodworking Co., where he was employed 47 years. He was a member of the Carpenters Union of Hartford.
He leaves two sons, George Bauer of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and Paul Bauer of Lexington, Mass.; two brothers, Wolfgang Bauer of Newington and Henry Bauer of West Germany; two grandsons, Robert Bauer of Mount Pleasant, SC. and Daniel H. Bauer of Lexington, Mass.
