After moving to Arizona in 1976, she owned a successful restaurant in Fountain Hills called "Marie's Ice Cream Shoppe." She loved baking and it was known no one could match her natural talents and exceptional cooking skills. She was dedicated and hard-working, retiring from Caremark in 2003.
Marie was warm-hearted and had many close friends throughout her life. She was always there to share a cup of coffee and play a game of cards. A devout Catholic, she and her husband, Tony, attended mass on Sundays.
Marie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Tony (Cono) Abatemarco; Sons, Michael Abatemarco and Dominick Abatemarco; Daughters, Rose Abatemarco Louanne and her husband Jack Rohe; Grandchildren, Erin Maguire, Christopher and his wife Renee Watts, Elizabeth Rohe, John Rohe and Ryan Watts.
