Barbara Klein Bauer, lifelong Memphian who was born on December 3, 1941, passed away on December 20, 2013 after battling cancer.

She was a graduate of Messick High School class of ‘59 and attended Memphis State University. She was a fifty plus year employee of the Baptist Medical Group. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Bauer; parents Gladys and Leon Little; and nephew, Griffin May. She leaves behind three siblings: John Little (Nona) of Marion, AR, Brenda Swan (Steve) of Memphis, TN and Diana May of Memphis; as well as two nieces and two nephews.

The family will receive guests and friends on Monday from 11 a.m. until funeral services begin at 1 p.m. all at Cherokee Baptist Church located at 5340 Quince Road, Memphis, TN with Bro. John Eubank as the officiator. After the graveside service the family will have a reception with refreshments back at the church. Her family requests that any memorials be sent to Cherokee Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
