John was born on December 1, 1963, in Oklahoma City, the son of Jimmy Clarence Baxter and Wanda Louise (Cravens) Bailey. He graduated from Harrah High School in 1981. In 1984, John married Paula Smith-Moats. He later married Jill Roberts on February 15, 1991, in OKC. John worked as a truck driver for 32 years. He also was a home builder and an entrepreneur. John enjoyed watching western movies. He loved Jesus, attending church at the Light House Christian Center and spending time with his family. He never met a stranger. John is preceded in death by his father, Jim in 2002.
