Greenville, Pa. March 24. Dr. John Coulter Feather died at his home in Sandycreek township Saturday. Son of Dr. Ira Condit Feather, born July 29, 1854, trusted partner of his father for many years. After his father's death, his brother, F. F. Feather, a young physician, and himself formed partnership at Sandy Lake as Drs. J. C. and F. F. Feather. Dr. John received an injury at Lake Shore station from which he never fully recovered. He married Miss Jennie Bell. On account of his health they moved on a farm they owned in Sandycreek township. Dr. Feather entered suit against the railroad company but was unsuccessful. Descended from noted English ancestors and Mrs. Bell from equally noted Irish ancestors. Funeral and interment on Monday, March 22.

Another article: Died Sunday morning near Sheakleyville after prolonged illness... injury February 1900. Death due to heart failure. Born at Clintonville July 29, 1854. Received early education in South Carolina and after a few years practice received a diploma from Milwaukee, Wis. Practiced medicine here until eight years ago when he moved to old homestead near Sheakleyville. Survived by wife and three children: Coulter, Reginald and Lovina, all at home, and one brother, F. F., of this place. Brief service over remains at the home Monday after which the remains were brought here and funeral services held at M. E. church, conducted by Rev. Mr. Allen of Greenville. Body interred in family vault in Oak Hill cemetery. - Sandy Lake Staff Correspondent.
