Hazel I. Albertson
Former Kelso resident Hazel Irene Albertson, 97, died of congestive heart failure Dec 10, 1994 in a Ridgefield, Wash., care center.
She was born Oct 14, 1897 in Warren County, Indiana and came to Kelso in 1924. She moved to Ridgefield from Kelso in 1941.
Mrs. Albertson was active in the Woodland Christian Church, Women's Christian Temperance Union, Woodland Christian Women's Club and the Pekin Ferry Grange.
Her husband, Emmit Albertson died in 1966 and a son Glen Albertson died in 1927.
Survivors include four sons, James L. Albertson of Ridgefield, John H. Albertson of Dayton, Ore., Don Lee Albertson of Yacolt, Wash., and Larry K. Albertson of Port Angeles, Wash.; three daughters, Mary Chapman of Salem, Rose Janke of Longview and Ruth Johnson of Vancouver; 20 grandchildren 20 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel, Vancouver. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The casket will be open Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
