Went by "Jim" Unable to tell in this photo but Jim was a redhead...seems to be a lot of redheads, or family members with red highlights in their hair.
An older relative, told me the Allens came over from Scotland, that this "Clan" were Highlanders. The biggest surprise was that the Allen family found a "foundling" on the boat, parents had died, so they took this infant and raised him as their own, I have NO clue how accurate this story is, nor which "Allen" is the baby found on the way to the States.
