Lawrence "Bud" P. Heitz age 92 of Broken Bow, NE passed away July 6, 2021, at Brookestone View in Broken Bow, NE.
Bud was born November 18, 1928, in Callaway, Nebraska to Werner Vanner "Van" and Stella (Perrill) Heitz. Bud attended and graduated from Callaway. Bud enlisted in the Navy on May 27, 1946, he served on the U.S.S. Missouri, during WWII. Bud was Honorably Discharged on April 1, 1948, in Norfolk, Virginia.
Bud was united in marriage to Fern Edith Caywood on September 19, 1952.
Bud is survived by his children Terry Jones of Ansley, Holly Hollaway of Holmen, WI, Wanda (Bob) Drake of Lincoln, and son Joel Heitz of Cozad, grandchildren Chris Jones, Jeff Jones, Elizabeth Anderson, Tyler Hollaway, Travis Hollaway, and Drew Hollaway, seven great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents Van and Stella Heitz, wife Fern, one brother, and four sisters.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Govier Brothers Mortuary are assisting the family.
