Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in Melancon Funeral Home Parlor for Huey John Leger, Jr. age 37, who passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at his residence in Abbeville.
Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro.
Mr. Leger was a native of Carencro and had been a resident of Abbeville for the past four years. He was employed with Daily Lawn Service with six years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Lovonia Leblanc Leger of Abbeville; father, Huey Leger, Sr. and his wife, Geraldine Leger, of Scott; mother, Alice Cormier Domingue and step father, Dennis Domingue of Carencro; two sons, Richard Campbell and his wife, DeDe, of Alexandria, and Norwood White of Abbeville; two daughters, Cathy Coopdege and her husband, Jay, of Lafayette, and Casandra Romero and her husband, Shannon, of Abbeville; four grandchildren, Cody Arrington, Felicity Campbell, Katlyn Romero, and Natalie Romero; one brother, Paul Leger of Scott; three step-brothers, Joe Roy, Stacy Roy, and Jason Roy, all of Youngsville; three sisters, Tina Leger of Carencro, Tonya Leger of New York, and Dorothy Leger of Scott; godmother, Gail Aucoin and her husband, Darrell, of Scott; and godfather, Francis Cormier of Carencro.
Pallbearers will be Joe Roy, Jason Roy, Richard Campbell, Norwood White, Bryan Duhon, Shannon Miller, David Thompson and Joey Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Gary, Stacy Roy, Huey Leger, Sr., Lloyd Leblanc, Paul Leger, and Jennie Leblanc.
