Frank D. Dennis, 65, of Jasonville, passed away at 7 a.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at his residence in Jasonville. Born Feb. 10, 1937 at Chicago Heights, Ill., he was the son of Marvel R. and Beatrice (Renfrow) Dennis. He was a tree trimmer and pole climber for 50 years, and he last worked for Earl Gardner with Midway Tree Service. He attended the Assembly of God in Jasonville. Survivors include, his wife, Wilburina (Close) Dennis of Jasonville; three sons and two daughters-in-law, John R. and Tina Dennis of Coalmont, Frank V. Dennis of Michigan City and Kenneth W. and Crystal Dennis of Hutsonville, Ill.; two sisters -in-law, Margaret Crane of Chicago Heights, Ill., and Arabella and James Glass of Dugger; one brother, Leroy Dennis of Steger, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; friend, Tom Flanders of Jasonville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ella B. Dennis; two brothers, John Crane and Kenneth Crane; and his parents. Funeral services will be at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville at 1 p.m. on Saturday with the Rev. Sam Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Peavey Cemetery at a later date.
