Dies at Residence
William H. Waite, 74, retired
carpenter, died at 8 a.m. Thursday
at the residence, 715 North
Fifth street, after a lingering illness.
He was born at Clymers on
March 6, 1871, to John and Mary
Smith Waite. He was a member
of the Clymers Methodist church
and the old Elks band.
Survivors are the wife, Anna; a
daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Roetken,
Muncie; two sons, Robert, Baltimore,
Md.; and Max, city; four
grandchildren; a half brother,
James Gugle, route 4; and two
half sisters. Mrs. Gertrude Baines,
city; and Mrs. Ida Bagley, Udora,
Kans.
Funeral rites will be held at 2
p.m. Saturday at the McCloskey
Hamilton funeral home, Rev. Harold
King officiating. Interment
will be in Mt. Hope cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral
home after 7 p.m. Thursday.
