Clinton L. Bain Sr., 58, a beloved husband, father, uncle, grandfather, son and brother entered eternal rest on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at the Waverly Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on Jan. 11, 1955, to Thelma Bain and the late Clarence Bain Sr. He was preceded in death by: his father, Clarence Bain Sr.; son, Clinton Bain Jr.; grandson, Tyquan Johnson; and sister, Sandra Ricks.

Clint accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Pocahontas Temple Baptist Church. He received his education in Sussex County public schools. Clint enjoyed baseball, cookouts and family gatherings. He was joined in holy matrimony to Darlene King.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, Darlene King-Bain; three daughters, Katina White of Petersburg, Chevon King and Ashley King of Wakefield; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; mother, Thelma Bain, Wakefield; two sisters, (devoted) Steve Bain-Jones (Howard) of Wakefield, Annie Bain-Warren (Edward) of Surry; one brother, Clarence Bain Jr. (Audrey), of Wakefield; two aunts, Lora Bailey (Herbert) and Dorothy Gay (Fred), both of Wakefield; one uncle, Robert Gray (Cassandra) of Tampa, Fla.; godsister, Dorothy "Shail" Gay of Wakefield; four brother-in-laws, Rodney Brock (Marion) of Ivor, Marvin King (Renee) of Waverly, Jerome King (Melissa) of Surry, Wesley King Jr. (Pender); four sisters-in-law, Barbara Johnson (Clennis) of Smith, Doris King of Maryland, Connie King-Piggott of Williamsburg, Gloria McCain (David) of Norfolk; a devoted niece, Tunisha "Mutt" Jones; and a devoted nephew, Edricco Bain; and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; and other relatives; and friends.

"In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also," John 14:2-3.

Funeral service for Mr. Bain will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at Pocahontas Temple Baptist Church, Wakefield, the Rev Allen, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Booker T. Memorial Cemetery, Wakefield.
