NANCY S. GHORMLEY

On December 12, 2013, Nancy S. Ghormley died at her home. She was 85 years old. Nancy was predeceased in death by her loving and devoted husband, Robert L. Ghormley, Jr., CDR US Navy (Ret.). She is survived by her daughters, Louise G. Lamb, Anne G. Kramer, and Nancy G. Hunkeler and their husbands. She had seven grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
Nancy grew up in Washington, D.C. She completed two years of college: one at the Univ. of Tennessee, and the second at American University, to be closer to CDR Ghormley upon his graduation from the US Naval Academy. As a Navy wife, she lived in many parts of the country and abroad. She volunteered at Florence Crittenden and helped many members of her community in numerous ways.
Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to The Salvation Army.
