Marie L. Bolton

ABILENE - Marie L. Bolton, 77, Abilene, died Wednesday, March 30, at the Abilene Nursing Center. Mrs. Bolton was born Feb. 24, 1911, in Abilene, where she remained a lifetime resident.She had worked for the United Utilities Company and the Eisenhower Foundation as an archivist, retiring in 1972. She was on the Abilene Public Library Board for several years, and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Literary League and P.E.O. Sisterhood.Her husband, Harold, died in 1961. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Koppenhaver of Los Lunas, N.M.; a son, Bill of Aurora, Colo.; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Danner Funeral Home, Abilene, with Rev. W.W. Alexander officiating. Burial will be in the Abilene Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Abilene Public Library or the Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation is at the funeral home.
