Daniel Lawrence Murphy, Jr., 72, died at 5:40 AM Wednesday, April 21, 2004, Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, FL, after a long illness. Born Jan. 1, 1932, in Lafayette, he was a lifelong resident. He married Phyllis A. Murdaugh on Nov. 1, 1953, in Lafayette, and she survives.
Mr. Murphy was supervisor at Purdue University Married Student Housing for 32 years prior to retiring. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
Surviving with his wife are a brother, John Murphy (wife Marilyn); and a sister, Margaret Hahn, both of Lafayette.
