S. E. Allemand died last night at the Rio Grande hospital after a protracted illness from typhoid fever. The deceased was an employe of the Rio Grande shops and a man held in high esteem by his associates. Only a few months since he was married to Miss Tillie Eads and had purchased a comfortable home on Front street. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World and that order will have charge of his funeral. The arrangements for his funeral have not been made except that it will occur on Sunday afternoon.

The funeral of S. E. Allemand occurred Sunday forenoon at 10 o'clock at Odd Fellows' hall in charge of the Woodmen, of which order he was a member. Rev. Orton of the Baptist church preached the funeral sermon. The interment was made in Woodland cemetery.

The judge had issued a marriage license to Samuel E. Allemand & Mrs. Tillie Eads in March 1897.
