She was born in Glynn County to the late Daniel Dedge Courson and Abegail Eugenia Minchew Courson. She had made Waycross her home for most of her life. She was a faithful member of Crawford Street Baptist Church.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, John Bryant Courson, Dora Ellen Wainwright, Doney Crews, Larry Madison Courson, Kathleen Lynn, Avie Turner, Leila Courson, and Lovie Thrift.
Ms. Courson is survived by special friends and church sisters, Pat Wright and Velma Daniels, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at Kettle Creek Cemetery.
Miles Odom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
