Voegeli,Wendelin L. "Shorty" Age 97 of Brookfield, passed away September 21, 2011. he was born April 17, 1914, in Colwich, Kansas, to the late John and Elizabeth Voegeli. He was united in marriage to Cecelia in 1936 in Omaha, Nebraska. Wendelin worked for Allis Chalmers for 40+ years before retiring, holding several positions including General Sales Manager and President of Simplicity Manufacturing of Port Washington. He was a member of the National Defense Executive Reserve and also held several patents related to the farming industry. He stayed active in farming until his passing. Shorty was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Churc in Elm Grove. He is survired by his wife Cecelia and 4 children,Doris(the late Michael) Senglaub of Hartland,Kenneth(Sue) of New Berlin, Janet of Wauwatosa and Mark (Marsha) of West Bend. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 2great-great-grandchildren,foreign exchange daughter Maria Cecelia Rodriquez of San Paulo, Brazil and other relatives and friends. Shorty was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. A family service was held on Saturday September 24, 2011, with interment at St.Bruno's Cemetery in Dousman. Mass of Rememberance to be celebrated at a future date. The family wishes to thank the kind and loving help of Vitas Hospice Personnel.
