Leon Harry Getman, 4347 Oxford Road, died July 22, 1987, at Boulder Community Hospital. He was 92.
Mr. Getman was born Feb 6, 1895, at Mankato, Kan., the son of Edwin E Getman and Grace Nelson Getman. He married Sadie A. Long on Feb 16, 1921, at Hutchinson, Kansas. Mr. Getman was a World War I Veteran. He was a farmer and he loved horses. He came to the area in 1936 from Kirk. He was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church. Mr. Getman was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sons; one brother; two sisters; and one great-grandson. He is survived by two sons; Ivan E. Getman of New Plymouth, Idaho and Donald H. Getman of Longmont; two brothers, Glenn Getman and Frank Getman, both of Kit Carson; a sister, Edna Wright of Kit Carson; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
