CULLMAN — Funeral Services for Mr. Alfred Gerald Brown, age 80, of Cullman, will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Etha Baptist Cemetery, with the Rev. Stanley Kilgore officiating.

Moss-Service Funeral Home of Cullman is directing.

Mr. Brown was born in Cullman on Aug. 27, 1933, to the late Arthur Conrad and Eva Jessie Lamberth Brown Sr. He passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at his residence.

He was in the U.S. Air Force and the Air Force Reserve. Alfred worked 30 years at Hays Aircraft/ Pemco in Birmingham and was a hard worker and loved to be outdoors. Mr. Brown was an avid gardener and cattle rancher.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Veal Brown; a daughter, Kay Brown Dupree; a son, David Keith Brown; two sisters, Louise Taylor and Marie Jones; a brother, Charles Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends for visitation on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, from 5 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
