MATHEWS - I. Scott Bergman went to be with his Lord on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005. He was born Nov. 19, 1941, in Gary, Ind. Scott retired from the Department of the Army Civil Service. He led intelligence operations for secret Army program. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irving and Edith Bergman. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Gwynn, Va.; a daughter, Debra Bergman of Yorktown; and a son, Scott Bergman of Gwynn, Va. He is also survived by a sister, Sarah Morris and her husband, Carl, of Tuscumbia, Mo., and several very good friends. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, in Gwynns Island Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 1130, Mathews, VA 23109. Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
