EDWARD POWLES ALBERT, 303 Summit Avenue died at the Western Maryland State Hospital Tuesday, aged 83 years. Born and reared in Hagerstown, he was the son of Jacob P. and Alice (Dunn) Albert.
He retired in 1956 after having worked 15 years as elevator operator at City Hall. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Reformed Church, United Church of Christ.
He is survived by a sister, Louise E. and a brother, George D., both at home. One nephew also survives.
Funeral services were held at the Suter-Rouzer Funeral Home; interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
