He retired in 1956 after having worked 15 years as elevator operator at City Hall. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Reformed Church, United Church of Christ.
He is survived by a sister, Louise E. and a brother, George D., both at home. One nephew also survives.
Funeral services were held at the Suter-Rouzer Funeral Home; interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
