Services were held Sunday in Pine Branch Baptist Church, with the Rev. J. R. Shumate and the Rev. Fred Jennings officiating. Burial was in Bald Rock Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Fay Cornett Parks; a daughter, Linda Parks Long, Sugar Grove; two sons, Jesse Leon Parks, Jr., and Leslie Hayden Parks, Sugar Grove; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hayden B. Parks, Mouth of Wilson; five brothers, Ralph Parks and Roger Parks, Mouth of Wilson, Ronald Parks, Galax, Robert Parks, Independence, William Parks, Lakin, Kans.; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Halsey, Mrs. John F. Devine, Jr., Independence, and two grandchildren.
