Mrs. Raley died on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Mission Manor Nursing Home. She was born on July 1, 1916 in the Union Community of Franklin County, the daughter of James Forrest Corley and Amanda C. McBrayer. She married Calvin Raley on October 2, 1937, in Franklin County, and he preceded her in death on April 13, 1993. Mrs. Raley was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon.
She is survived by four children: son, Kenneth Raley, of Mt. Vernon; son, Danny Raley, of Austin; son, Butch Raley, of Mt. Vernon; daughter, Marilyn Wells, of Bossier City, LA; 3 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Shirley Beth Raley; two brothers, Horace Corley and Waldo Corley; and six sisters, Leita Harvey, Orieta Inman, Mary Fuquay, Seple Davis, Bobbie Davis, and Odeal Hester.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
