Adelia was the daughter of Seth Johnson Genung born Warwick, Orange County, NY, and Sarah Meade, born Reading, Connecticut. Most sources state that Adelia was born in Auburn, Cayuga County, New York.
F.A.G. contributor #47642449 has brought it to my attention that Seth Johnson Genung could NOT be Adelia's father, as she is 7 years older than him.

p.320 of Alva Tuttle's book, Tuttle-Tuthill Lines In America states that Adelia's husband, John Augustine Smith Tuttle died 28 Feb 1862 but does not state where. It is most probable he also died in Chicago, IL. John and Adelia were married 8 Aug 1838, probably in Cayuga County, NY. They had 6 children, all born in Cayuga County, NY:
