Mr. Hall was born February 15, 1930 in Cleveland, Texas to the late Zonie Bee (Cockrell) and John Louis Hall. He died Friday, December 13, 2013 in a Lufkin hospice facility.
Mr. Hall was retired from Champion Paper Mill as a Supervisor, following 40 years of service. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Mr. Hall had been a member of the Chinquapin Hunting Club for more than 45 years, and had lived in Lufkin most of his life.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Lillian Stephens Hall; his children and their spouses, David Hall and Susan Stewart (Alabama), Paul Douglas Hall and Roxanne Mathis (Lufkin), and Sandra and Keith Lee (Lufkin); grandchildren and spouses, Latisha and Brian Burgess (Hudson), Robert and Sammy Hall (Burwell, Nebraska), Jacob and Wendy Hall (Galveston), Cody and Maggie Lee (Lufkin), Stephanie and Jonathan Durham (Lufkin), and Amanda White and Johnny Brumlow (Texas City); twelve great grandchildren; longtime hunting buddy and friend, Peyton Mathis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Bobbie Jones and Phyllis Batson; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Minnie and Gordon Stephens.
