Margaret Irene (Peggy) Bennett, born on November 18, 1923, age 90, peacefully slipped away late Tuesday evening, December 10, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claus Otto Ackerlund and Sylvia Anna (Hansen) Ackerlund; her only brother, Glen; and her two sisters, Marie and Darlene.

She leaves behind her husband, George D. Bennett; three children, Sheryl Archote and husband Steven, Linda Estopinal and husband David, and Everett R. VanDer Werf, Jr. and wife Katrina; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her special friends, the "Misfits" and beloved caregiver, Michael.

The first thing everyone thinks of Peggy is her kindness, she's always there to help. She loved her family, friends, God, and country. She was very patriotic and served in the United States Marine Corp during WWII, and remained active in the Am Vets, VFW, and American Legion. She loved baking cakes, fishing, horses, playing games with family, playing her guitar, and singing. We'll all miss her beautiful voice.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, 2:00PM at Oak Grove Cemetery in Newnata, Arkansas. Brother Noah Archote will officiate.

Pallbearers are Butch Brownlee, Gerald Gray, Noah Archote, Kalin Archote, Brady Archote Folkers, and Zack Folkers.
