William Anderson "Bo" Barnett, 69, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-7pm Friday, December 13, 2013 and 1:00pm until the 2:00pm funeral service Saturday, December 14, 2013, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. There will also be a chapel service at 11am Monday, December 16, 2013 at Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle, AR with interment in Hudson Cemetery in Dardanelle.

Mr. Barnett was born May 11, 1944 in Russellville, AR to the late William Ira Barnett and Ruth Lorene Moore Barnett. He was a star athlete at Dardanelle High School, playing baseball, football, track and was President of FFA. He attended College of the Ozarks and Arkansas Technical College. In 1967 he went to work for USDA, serving for 32 years and retiring in 1999. Mr. Barnett was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, golfing, and farming. He was a longtime youth baseball and football coach. He served with the MS Army National Guard and retired from the U.S. Army Reserves after 20 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Carolyn Barnett Donahou. Survivors include his wife Bettie Nevels Barnett of Byram, MS; sons, William Ashley Barnett (Beth) of Brandon, MS, Thomas Edward Barnett of Byram, MS and William Scott Sinclair of Pachuta, MS; daughters Leslie Ailyn Barnett Lautenschlager (Robert) of Copperas Cove, TX, Carmen Adele Barnett Costine (Herman) of Jacksonville, FL and Kimberly Michelle Barnett (Jeremy Cockrell, her fiance) of Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Katherine, Stephen, David, Ruth, Lauren, Andy and Blakely.
