John J. Abbott A resident of Upper St. Clair for 40 years, age 82, unexpectedly on Monday, December 9, 2013. Beloved husband of 50 years to Terry Krasovec-Abbott; loving and compassionate father of Sue (Kevin) Schonauer, Pam (Robert) Eisner, and Paul (Geeta) Abbott; amazing grandfather of Evan and Ethan Eisner and Johnny and Sarah Schonauer; brother of the late George Abbott and Betty Bowman; cousin of Fr. Terrance Hazel of Canfield, Ohio. He served in the U. S. Army for two years and graduated from Ohio Northern University. He was employed by Upjohn Pharmaceuticals for 34 years and later established his own consulting business, USC Research, for 20 years. A lifelong student, Abbott retained his pharmacy credential for his entire life and was involved in many business, research, and charitable ventures after his notable career at Upjohn. Beyond his many professional accomplishments, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS, 724-941-3211. Friends welcome at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, 15317, Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Louise de Marillac Church (Everyone please meet at the church). Interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
