Don was the son of Charles & Martina Delzeith Blatz. His wife was Nancy Countryman Blatz.∼BLATZ, Donald Charles age 71, of Dayton, passed away Monday, April 28, 2008.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Martina Blatz; grandparents, John and Mary Blatz and grandparents, John and Elizabeth Delzeith.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy (Countryman) Blatz; daughters and son in-law, Laura Blatz and Kimberly (Blatz) and Scott Webb; granddaughter and her fiancée , Brittany Webb and Joe Parker; sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis (Blatz) and Richard Wagner, Rita (Blatz) and Daniel Sheets, Dianne (Blatz) and Alan Whitehead; many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly and his dog, Cheyenne, his baby.
Donald graduated from Chaminade class of 1954. He worked for the 7-Up Bottling Co. for 25 years and then for Johns Auto Parts. He was a member of St. Peters Church for over 40 years and lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall RD. Interment will be at 1 pm at Good Hope Cemetery, Good Hope, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, May 2, 2008 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
