Marian Rose, 94, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton, IL, died Monday, December 9, 2013 at the nursing home. She was born on April 7, 1919, in Fulton, IL, to John and Tessie (Norman) Zeeryp. She was educated at the Stone Street School in rural Whiteside County, and the Fulton Christian Grade Schools in Fulton. She married Cornelius "Neil" Rose on September 26, 1969 in Fulton, IL. He died on February 3, 2003. Marian was first employed at the Toy Factory, then the Lock Shop, both in Clinton, IA. Later she worked at ICA Company in Morrison, IL. She retired from the former Patent Novelty Corp. in Fulton. Marian was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton, where she was active in the Dorcas Society. She loved reading, playing the piano, flower gardening, and cooking, especially baking cookies.

Survivors include one sister, Katherine "Tootie" Bielema of Morrison, IL; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil; two brothers, Harold Zeeryp, and one in infancy; one nephew, Terry Bielema.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM - Thursday – December 12, 2013 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Rev. Philip Stel – Pastor at First Christian Reformed Church – Fulton, IL, will officiate.

Visiation will be 1:00 PM until the time of the service - Thursday – December 12, 2013 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

Interment will be the Fulton Township Cemetery – Fulton, IL

Optional Memorials to the First Christian Reformed Church and Unity Christian Schools, both of Fulton, IL, have been established.
