SHELBY ~ Hale Thomas Bryson, 85, was a son of A. F. and Hattie Raby Bryson. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Bryson; and a beloved sister, Anna Lee Hooper.

Hale was a dedicated educator for 43 years who cared deeply about the children of Shelby City Schools. He took pride in being a pioneer of technology in the Shelby City Schools. He was a proud graduate of Western Carolina University where he received his bachelor's and master's degree. He was principal of Shelby Junior High for 15 years and retired as the associate superintendent of Shelby City Schools.

Hale was an active member of First Baptist Church where he taught the Hale T. Bryson Sunday School class for over 43 years.

He was a member of the Lions Club and honored to receive the Melvin Jones Fellow Award.

He served his country honorably in the U. S. Air Force.

Interment: Sunset Cemetery.
