Amor Lipe was born in Williamson County in 1868. His surviving siblings were Mrs. Etta Eason of Pohoka, FL and Mrs. Minnie O'Dell of Sweetwater, TX

He was married to the former Emma Etherton who preceded him in death. His surviving children we3re Chesley of Creve Coeur and Mrs. Charles Turner of Camdenton, MO.

Mr. Lipe was a retired farmer and car repairman for the former MO Railroad. He was a member of the Sharon Baptist Church, and the Brotherhood of Railway Car Repairman.

He died at the age of 90 in the Tyler Nursing Home in Murphysboro on Tuesday, October 14, 1958. His funeral was held at Crawshaw Mortuary Chapel i Murphysboro. Rev. A. J. Collins officiated.
