He resided in Lewiston, ME for the past 21 years.

He is survived by seven daughters Mrs Herbert Montgomery of Limestone, ME; Mrs Ralph Lalemand; Mrs John M Robinson; Mrs Alfred N LeRiche Jr; Mrs Oscar Levesque all of Lewiston, ME; Miss Gertrude of Concord, NH; Miss Jeannine of Providence, RI; three sons Leo of Bristol, Ct; Gilbert of Auburn, ME; Lawrence of Lewiston, ME; two brothers Edmond and Frank both of Augusta, ME.

In 1946 he lost five members of his family in an auto accident. His wife Albertine, his son Herman, his daughter in law and a granddaughter. Two weeks later he lost his daughter Anita due to the same accident.
