He was a native of Hardin County, a member of American Legion Post No. 113 and its motorcycle club. He was a member of the Blue Knights and was a past master of Vine Grove Masonic Lodge No. 603 F&AM and the Kosair Shrine Club in Louisville. He was a retired deputy sheriff and jailer in Nelson County.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Belle Jarvis; one son, John C. (Crystal) Adams; one daughter, Mandy Adams Beddow; two grandchildren, Hunter Douglas Adams and Alexis Nicolle Laudermilt; and his significant other, Susie M. Bennett.
Burial in Glendale Christian Church Cemetery.
